Where can I verify the 08 and 09 numbers used?
Worried
about using 08 and 09 pre-fixed numbers? Our network service numbers
are allocated by the telephony watchdog Ofcom
and
the complete list of allocated numbers used by all telephone operators
may be downloaded Here
. An extract of the numbers allocated to our service supplier Telco
Global (now part of the Carphone Warehouse group) may be viewed
Extract
where you can see the range and pricing of the access numbers we
use to give you a low cost service. This should allay any fears
you have about using our service, but if you have any more questions,
please contact us. Please also remember when you dial the country
access number a voice prompt will advise you of the rate for that
particular number.(e.g. welcome to the 3p access service).

How do I dial the numbers?
It’s
as easy as 1 – 2 – 3.
1. Look up the country access number
(Numbers)
for the country you wish to call.
(e.g.
Australia has the landline access number 0844 570 4751)
2. Dial this number,
wait for the prompt message to confirm your access to the network.
(e.g. "Welcome to the 5p access service....)
3. Enter the number of the person you are
calling including the
international code 00xx
(e.g. 0061 for Aus numbers, 00 27 for South Africa numbers), and
you will be connected. For full list of international codes click
InternationalCodes
As simple as that!
(Mobile users do not press SEND again after accessing network).
Leave off the first
zero of the local area code (e.g. if area code+number=(01234)56789
then dial 123456789. This is not necessary when dialling into a
country.

Where can I find the rate for the country
I wish to dial?
By using the drop down box on the
Rates page
select the country you require.
The latest information costs will be presented
in the table. Alternatively, click
Here and
you will be taken to the full listing of access numbers and costs.

Why doesn’t my call connect?
There
is a limit to the number of calls that can be handled by the reduced
cost access lines, so sometimes the service may be busy, and we
advise you to replace the handset, and try again later.

How does Eazydial make money from the call…?
When you make a call
using the Eazydial access number, we are passed a small small margin
from the network operator. It is as simple as that!

Old National Rate Numbers (0870...)…
These numbers (starting
0870 known as the National Rate numbers) will be phased out (due
to telecomms legislation on revenue sharing) by 2008. They have
been replaced by better single rate 0844 numbers. Please ensure
you are using the latest numbers.
National
Rate is defined by BT. If you are using Eazydial from a BT phone,
BT Standard prices are as follows:
6p per minute during the
day including VAT ( Everyday 8am-6pm)
1.5p per minute in the evening
including VAT (Everyday 6pm-8am)

How do I pay for the call?
When you make a call
via an Eazydial access number, the costs of the call are measured
in the normal way as any other call - according to the real time
duration of the call. The prices shown on this site are BT's
charges per minute for calling the Eazydial access number and you
are charged per second from connection to the Eazydial service.
The charge for the call will be billed to you by your telephone
service provider as usual. You will see the access number on the
bill but there will be no charges from us! When you make a call
via Eazydial you only pay for calling one of the Eazydial access
numbers, plus a BT applied 7p call set-up fee for each call. It
is your service provider that will charge you - not us. Costs and
price comparisons assume customer is using Eazydial access number
and dialling from BT landline having basic BT Together Option 1
tariff.
If you're not with BT you need to check with
your service provider how much they will charge for calls made to
the Eazydiall access numbers. Some mobile service providers even
bundle some of the Eazydial access numbers into certain free minutes
packages. If you are thinking of using a Eazydial access number
from your mobile phone please first check the charges with your
mobile service provider. Click Here
for the contact numbers.
Also there is a surcharge
from BT payphones, please check at the point of making your call.

How are the Eazydial calls cheaper than BT?
When you dial the specific
country access numbers (i.e. the 0871, 0844, 0905 numbers given
with the web site), our supplier's telecommunications network recognises
this as a low-cost call and routes the call. In this way we are
able to offer you all the benefits of the reduced rates with identical
service as a BT (or other network) customer.
The more you use the
service, the greater the amount of countries our supplier can offer
at low cost charges!
How do I save even more
money?
Service providers may
allow further discounts on certain allocated numbers (e.g. some
BT Friends and Family, inclusive minutes for mobile users.) Please
check with your service provider to see if your specific country
access number may be added in this way.
Are all calls charged at the same rate…?
The prices shown on
this site are BT's charges per minute for calling the Eazy Dial
access number and you are charged per second from connection to
this service.
If you are not with
BT you need to check with your service provider how much they will
charge for calls made to the Eazydial access numbers.
If you are thinking
of using an Eazydial access number from your mobile phone please
first check the charges with your mobile service provider. To find
out the cost of calling from a UK mobile, or a non BT landline,
you should confirm the rates directly with your service provider
as these may vary.

Does Eazydial own the network?
No Eazydial does not
own the network, it acts as an agent for access numbers only via
the Telco Global telephone network, and therefore is not responsible
for provision or otherwise of the service. However, you will be
pleased to know that our supplier has been voted as giving the best
customer service in a recent Ofcom report.

Calling from a mobile?
You can use Eazydial
from your mobile phone too - giving you massive savings compared
to international mobile tariffs.
With some mobile tariffs
UK National (0870) calls are bundled with your free minutes package
- and some service providers bundle 0844 calls too!
Just make sure that
you check rates with your mobile service provider before making
your calls.
When you call from a
mobile, remember to only press the call or send button after dialing
the access number but not again after dialing the destination number.
OR, programme the whole
numbers into your mobile for Eazydial calling:

There's a quick way of using the service from your mobile without
having to keep dialing both the access number and the international
number every time you use the service:
Add a pause between
the access number and the international number you wish to dial:
Eg: You want to call
your Mother in Australia. So, you create a new entry called 'Mum'
in your phone-book on your mobile and then when entering the number:
1. Enter the Eazydial
access number
ie 0870 794 4751
2. Enter a 'pause'.
This varies depending on your brand of mobile
Nokia Phones:
A 'p' should appear after * has been pressed 3 times: ie 0870 794
4751(*** will show a 'p')
Siemens/Panasonic Phones:
A '+' should appear after 0 has been pressed and held. Motorola
/ Ericsson Phones / Sony:
A 'p' should appear after * has been pressed and held.
3. Now enter your international
destination number in full including 00 xx (e.g. 00 61 for Aus numbers)
and press save.
That's it - next time
you want to call 'Mum' using Eazydial simply find "Mum"
in your memory and press call!
For definitive instructions
please review your mobile phone instruction manual or contact your
phone manufacturer.
